After an early breakfast, drive approximately 4 hours to Amboseli National Park known for its magnificent elephants population of over 1500 elephants and one of the Africa’s largest, resides in this unique ecosystem. It also boasts of majestic backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain and the world’s highest free standing mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro. After lunch you will start a game drive. Amboseli means “salty dust” in maa language of the maasai, is a place of stark contrast. The Park provide the classic Hollywood image of Africa, set in rolling Savannah Scenery dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of mount Kilimanjaro. It offers fantastic wildlife viewing, as home to elephants, lion, leopards, cheetah, Thompsons and Grant’s gazelles, gerenuk, impala, oryx, lesser kudu, zebra, wildebeests, giraffe, warthogs, striped hyenas, jackals, bat-eared, fox, caratal, Africa wildcat, genet cat, honey badger, mongoose, and ostrich. Birdlife is prolific especially birds of prey.
