Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi, Mombasa Transfer
- Pick up from the hotel, transfer to the train station, and board the train to Mombasa.
- Arriving in the afternoon, pick up at Mombasa terminus and drop off at the hotel
- Evening spent at leisure with either a visit to Fort Jesus, the old town, or a city walk.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Full Day Mombasa
- After breakfast, head out wind surfing in the bay or test your stamina while kite surfing for those who love adventure. During your Mombasa beach holiday, you can go snorkeling in the nearby Kisite – Mpunguti Marine National Park and Reserve and explore the fascinating marine creatures that live below the waves, or visit Funzi Island with its four mangrove-covered islands. If water activities are not your thing, perhaps a game of tennis or mini golf.
- In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Mombasa Diani Transfer.
- After breakfast, check out and start your safari to Diani. Arriving in 2 hours, check in at The Safiya Hotel.
- In the afternoon, go to the beach and enjoy its activities.
- In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Day Trip to Wasini Island
- After breakfast, depart Diani beach and drive to Shimoni, a coastal village about 2 hours south of Diani.
- A boat ride to Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park, board a traditional dhow or motorboat for a 30-45 minute ride to the marine park, where you may spot dolphins along the way.
- Snorkeling and diving will enable you to explore the vibrant coral reefs, colorful fish, and possibly sea turtles in the protected waters of Kisite Marine Park.
- After snorkling enjoy a dolphin watching tour, although the sightings are common, they are not guaranteed.
- Visit Wasini village, learning about Swahili culture, followed by a fresh seafood lunch featuring Crab, fish, and coconut rice.
- Return to Shimoni and visit Shimoni slave caves, a historic site linked to the slave trade.(optional).
- In the evening, return to the hotel for Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Diani – Mombasa Transfer
- Early morning breakfast followed by transfer to Mombasa train terminus and start your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon.
- Transfer to either hotel or airport, depending on the client's schedule, marking the end of the safari.
