Itinerary
On the specified day at 6:00 am pickup from the Hotel and start your safari, traveling southward to the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley to view the escarpment and photo taking, late descend the escarpment and travel to the floor of the Rift Valley, a view of Mt. Longonot from the highway, passing through Naivasha Town arriving in Lake Nakuru National Park in time for the day's activities.
Lake Nakuru National Park sits squarely on the floor of the Great Rift Valley and is surrounded by characteristic woody and bushy grassland, her sky-mirrored lake water extending to an expansive mass of semi-alkaline water, which is rich in green algae. The algae attracts a huge number of pink flamingos giving it the name birds paradise. It is also a sanctuary for the endangered Rhino species with over 100 rhinos residing here, other animals are Buffaloes, Hippos, Waterbuck, Impalas, Baboons, Zebras, Warthogs, and many more. Lake Nakuru is not a big park and within 4 hours, you shall have seen enough. Later leave the park with lunch en route and start your journey to Nairobi City, passing by Lake Naivasha for a boat ride if time allows, arriving late in the evening.
