The Kenya Private Safari is a comprehensive journey through some of Kenya’s most iconic and diverse landscapes, offering a mix of wildlife viewing, cultural experiences, and relaxation. The itinerary typically includes visits to Samburu National Reserve, known for its unique wildlife such as the reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra, as well as the opportunity to interact with the Samburu people and learn about their traditions.
Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru National Park are renowned for their birdlife, particularly flamingos at Lake Nakuru, and offer scenic boat rides and game drives. Masai Mara National Reserve is famous for its abundant wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros), and is the site of the annual Great Migration of wildebeest and zebras.
Amboseli National Park provides stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and excellent opportunities to observe large herds of elephants, as well as other wildlife against the backdrop of Africa’s highest peak. Finally, the itinerary often concludes with some relaxation at Diani Beach, a beautiful coastal destination known for its pristine white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, offering activities such as snorkeling, diving, and simply unwinding by the sea.

Itinerary
At 7:00 am pick up from the hotel, depart for Samburu National Park. Due to its remote nature, Samburu has become the preferred game reserve for tourists looking for a quiet safari with fewer game vehicles however, it receives the second-highest number of visitors after the Masai Mara.
The Samburu people live on the outskirts of the reserve in rural villages that survive primarily off the land. There is a lot of cultural interest in these villages and guests are given the opportunity to visit as a part of day-trip activities.
This is one of 2 reserves where researchers and conservationists, Joy and George Adamson, became famous for raising lioness, Elsa. Their story was portrayed in the well-known book, Born Free.
Arrive in the afternoon for a mouth- watering lunch then go for a game viewing till evening.

Early morning breakfast by 5:30 am then set out for an early morning game drive in the reserve.
Samburu offers great wildlife viewing, and good densities mean that most safari animals can be seen within a couple of days. There are several habituated leopards, and sightings are not unusual. Elephants are plentiful, and there is a variety of antelope, including both the greater and lesser kudu, with their impressive horns. Only rhino is absent from the Big Five.

On this last day, you will have a wake-up call at 05:00 am for breakfast. Thereafter leave for Lake Naivasha with a stopover in Nanyuki for lunch. Arrive in Naivasha in the evening where you will be dropped at your guest house to freshen up and go for an optional boat ride at Lake Naivasha.

After breakfast, you will drive to Hells Gate National Park. Hell's Gate is the only park where people can walk freely inside the park as there are no predators. Upon arrival at the gate, you will decide if you want to cycle to the gorge or use the vehicle. There are also optional activities like boat riding and a visit to Crescent Island which is a privately owned park. Later leave the park for Lake Nakuru National Park.

Early morning breakfast, then drive to Lake Nakuru which is famous for the endangered species (Rhinos) and Flamingos. Sometime Flamingos are few but you are guaranteed of seeing the Rhinos among other Big Five. Lake Nakuru is not a big park and within 4 hours you shall have seen enough. Later leave the park with lunch en route and drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in the evening for evening game viewing.

Another full day to explore the historic Masai Mara National Reserve. A full day spent game viewing across the rich, tree-studded grassland on rolling hills. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds, plains game, black manned lion, leopard and cheetah. It also has numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found in Kenya.

After breakfast go for a Masai village tour to learn the way of life of the Masai people and take photos.
Late leave the Masai mara region for Amboseli National Park passing through Narok a small Masai town known for the most beautiful curios ever, proceed with the journey to the Rift Valley viewing point where you will stop to have a view of the Great Rift Valley. From here continue with the journey arriving in Amboseli late in the evening.

After breakfast, leave for the spectacular Amboseli National Park. Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Masai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close.
Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with Sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. They can also visit the local Masai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

After breakfast, you will start your journey to Diani passing through Mombasa arriving in the evening. Those who know… choose Diani Beach.
